Geocache Description:

You have almost reached Mawddach Cresent - 8 terraced houses built in 1902. These were the beginnings of a holiday resort (the brainchild of entrepreneur Solomon Andrews) but the development stopped as the surrounding land wasn't suitable. My husband tells stories of these houses being used for soldiers convalescing during WWII, but I am not sure about that!

You get great views of Barmouth bridge and the estuary from here and this should only be accessed on foot. There is an on-going enquiry as to whether the road in front of the houses is public or private and until the enquiry is resolved, please make sure you keep to the footpath which passes behing the houses and DO NOT USE the road which passes in front of them.

Anyway, back to GZ. There is a random sign regarding 'No Parking' and the cache can be located to the right of this as you face it. You are looking for a clip-lid container on a grassy ledge. Two stones have been used to cover it.
