A Kiskirálylány, a Dunakorzó korlátján ücsörgő szobor eredeti, 50 cm-es kisplasztikáját 1972-ben készítette Marton László (1925–2008) szobrászművész.
A művészt legidősebb lánya (Évike) ihlette meg, aki gyakran játszott királylány jelmezben, az édesapja által készített újságpapír koronával a fején a Tabánban, és otthon is, a fürdőköpenyt palástnak képzelve. Ez a kép indította édesapját, a művészt e kis szobor megalkotására.
E szobor nagyobb méretben 1990-ben került a Duna-korzóra, és másodpéldánya Tapolcára, a művész szülővárosába. Ugyanezen szobor másolata áll még Japánban is - a Művész adományaként -, a Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space kulturális központ koncertterme előtt is. Az eredeti kisplasztika (1972) a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria tulajdona.

The original, 50 cm sculpture of the statue of the Little Princess, sitting on the railing of the Danube Promenade, was made in 1972 by the sculptor László Marton (1925–2008).
The artist was inspired by her eldest daughter (Évike), who often played in a princess costume with a crown of newspaper made by her father on her head in Tabán, and at home, imagining the bathrobe to be a cloak. This image started his father, the artist, to create this little sculpture.
This sculpture was placed on a larger scale in 1990 on the Danube Promenade and a duplicate in Tapolca, the artist's hometown. A copy of the same statue stands even in Japan - as a donation from the Artist - in front of the concert hall of the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space Cultural Center. The original small sculpture (1972) is the property of the Hungarian National Gallery.
