I spent the holidays with my in-laws. While looking through their basement, I found an old (well, relatively old) scroll. Who knew that Chinese scrolls could be treasure maps? I didn't figure it out in time to submit it for the New Year; so instead, I decided to submit it for the New Year. Happy New Year!

Special Notes about the 2022 Puzzle Challenge: To be considered for Fastest Solver points, you must verify your solution with Certitude. Finders will receive Top Finder points when submitting Found It logs to the cache page. All "point" scoring is arbitrary, subject to change, at the discretion of the cache owner, and probably completely meaningless (unless you just want to be announced sooner at the celebration party, if one even happens in 2023, as we haven't had one for the past two years). The real challenge is to see whether I can even figure out how to create a new puzzle each month this year! To maintain fairness, hints should not be offered by the cache owner or other solvers until the fifteenth of the month.
Special Notes about this month's puzzle: I thought about giving this a D2.5 rating. Maybe I'll update it later. Not sure what this area will be like in August; so if you don't go after this cache in February and you end up surrounded by 4-foot-tall weeds, don't say I didn't warn you. Hopefully no poison oak anywhere near the cache, but you may see plenty along the trails depending on your route. Park curfew is 10pm to 5am.
