Churnet Valley Railway

We have arranged with this lovely Heritage Railway to have a few carriages for our use, tickets can be booked using the link below. When making your booking, please write 'Geocache group' in the special instructions, so that we are all put in the same carriages.
Churnet Valley Railway opened for visitors in 1996 and has been operating steam and diesel locomotives ever since.

To book tickets, please go to the green timetable, where you will be able to book open tickets for travel on any of the trains running that day. Trains will leave Froghall station at 10:30 and 13:30. Please note, while dogs are allowed on the trains, a fee is payable for them as well. Service dogs travel free.
For those not wishing to travel on the trains, the log book will be made available for everyone to sign outside the station.
