We all know and love Santa Clause, flying around the world delivering toys and presents to the good little children. But what happens to the naughty children? Do they get nothing? Maybe some coal? Perhaps. But if you were a TRULY naughty child during the year (and you know who you are) you might just get a visit by Der Krampus; The horned, goat-like devil figure from Germanic folklore who during the Christmas season, punishes naughty children by whipping them with birch rods, stuffing them into his basket, and spiriting them away to his lair to be devoured later. Of course we all know YOU made the 'nice list' this year. Right? *cough* Anyway...
To celebrate Krampusnacht this year, let's all meet for some holiday cheer and to ward away Der Krampus. We'll meet on December 11th from 4-6pm and swap geocaching tales, make our new year's caching resolutions, and generally have a joyful time enjoying some adult beverages. Please observe all local mask and social distancing mandates.
