West Park CITO
Bring your gloves, your litter picking tools, and enthusiasm; the park will provide the trash.
We are meeting at West Park at 2:30pm for a litter pick up. When we scoped out the area there was plenty of trash to keep us busy for the full hour.
Food and weather
Some light refreshments and water will be provided to keep us soldiering on. A CITO this late in the year is weather dependent and unless it is full on pouring, I'll still be out there in my raincoat but I don't expect everyone to suffer. Since all other nearby areas needing CITO treatment are also outdoors, there is not a wet weather alternative. Going for the middle of the day should give the best odds of decent weather.
Logistics
I will be providing rubbish bags and nitrile gloves. Rubbish collected will be deposited by me using the nearby public rubbish bins with options for recycling, and excess rubbish that doesn't fit within on site bins being taken care of by me. If any sharps are found, please let me know and I will collect and dispose of them. I am a first responder and will have a general practice doctor and nurse coming to the event with me. We have had some dealings with sharps and know how to handle / dispose of them safely. This CITO is being conducted with the approval of Macclesfield Town Council.
