A Praia da Consolação localiza-se na freguesia de Atouguia da Baleia, no concelho de Peniche. Encontra-se dividida em duas pelo Forte da Praia da Consolação.
A sul, é dotada de excelentes condições terapêuticas - numa aberta enseada, o iodo acumulado aliado a outras condições naturais, e pela exposição ao Sol, proporciona o tratamento medicinal em benefício da coluna. Esse facto é único no continente europeu e leva à Consolação, anualmente, muitos milhares de pessoas.
Do lado Norte, a paisagem é completamente diferente. A partir do forte avista-se um largo e muito extenso areal que se prolonga por vários quilómetros em direcção a Peniche. Banhada pelo mar de ondulação forte, esta praia é muito apreciada pelos praticantes de surf e windsurf. Possui areia mais grossa do que o habitual na região.

Praia da Consolação (Consolation Beach) is located in the parish of Atouguia da Baleia, in the municipality of Peniche. It is divided into two by the Fort of Praia da Consolação.
To the south, it is endowed with excellent therapeutic conditions - in an open cove, the accumulated iodine combined with other natural conditions, and due to its exposure to the sun, provides a medicinal treatment for the benefit of the spine. This fact is unique on the European continent and annually brings to Consolação many thousands of people.
On the North side, the landscape is completely different. From the fort, you can see a wide and very extensive beach that extends for several kilometers towards Peniche. Bathed by the strong swell of sea, this beach is very popular with surfers and windsurfers. It has thicker sand than usual in the region.
