World Wide Flash Mob XVIII at Anchorage Town Square
Who: All Geocachers in Southcentral AK at the moment of the event are invited
What: Geocaching Flash Mob Event
When: 9:00am sharp Saturday Sept 15th - running until 9:30am
Where: Anchorage Town Square (downtown)
Why: To participate in the World-Wide Flash Mob Geocaching event -
held simultaneously all over the world!!! (This year the times vary,
but all WWFM Events are happening on Saturday Sept 18th)

8:45 - 8:59AM Cachers: Please wait patiently in your automobile or stroll around the area.
STAY AWAY from ground zero! Do some impromptu CITO of the area. As much as you can, act like a muggle (except, do some more of that impromptu CITO stuff...) Hey - it's tourist season - dress like a tourist!
(You know - raincoat, camera, fanny pack... and very bright, clean white shoes...) And if you’re actually a tourist, we’ll welcome you with a smile and lots of great local knowledge on caching!
8:59AM make your way toward the event coordinates.
9:00AM exactly (as determined by your GPS clock) we will place an ammocan for raffle tickets near the coordinates. As you arrive, we'll hand you an official event raffle ticket. Participants must sign the raffle ticket and put them in the raffle ammo can if they want to participate in the special prize drawing. You can log your attendance at this event without participating in the raffle!
No raffle ticket means no chance to win, so make sure you've got yours turned in!
9:15AM we will gather and take a group photo. Bring your dogs, your kids, your friends - and a big smile!
9:20AM we will draw a name from the pool of raffle tickets for the title of First to Find (which wins a Special Prize!) and draw for the door prizes.
9:30AM exactly the raffle tickets will be packed up and sealed away.
The event area will be evacuated without a trace.
Feel free to plan an after-event cache run or after-event breakfast -
just remember, we HAVE to leave the area promptly at 9:30AM!!!

Local daylight starts around 7:35am... with about 12.5 hours of daylight to follow... Temperature should average somewhere between 40 to 48 degrees F at 9am, with a light north breeze... dress accordingly!
