Geocache Description:

10 October 2021, 11:30 - 14:00

Dear All

I  am inviting you to come and partake of some refreshment and to bring some of your goodies to my humble abode of Chiswick House and Gardens. Chiswick House was owned by my husband Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington. I was a British noble and court official  and my 'humble abode" was one of the most glorious examples of 18th British Architecture and landscaped gardens. William Kent and my husband created the house and gardens between 1725 and about 1738. They based it on the classical architecture of Italy. Chiswick was the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement and went on to influence gardens from Blenheim Palace to New York's Central Park.

We are meeting near the cafe and if you are a member you can get 10% reduction at the cafe. You can bring your own drinks and food. Your kids can come with you as there is a playground nearby.
