A Ilha de Vilar é uma área marginal ao rio Cávado, localizada na freguesia de Figueiredo que incorpora o concelho de Amares. É um agradável espaço de lazer que permite banhos frescos, sonos descansados, piqueniques e actividades desportivas.
Este espaço é propriedade privada, pertencente à Sociedade Agropecuária do Cunene que, por cortesia, permite que a junta de freguesia desta localidade o transforme numa área de lazer.

A cache pretende dar a conhecer um espaço verde que merece todos os esforços pela sua preservação. Pede-se, por isso, que o local seja mantido limpo e com a mínima intervenção humana. O acesso à cache poderá estar condiconado devido à subida das águas do rio. Portanto, embora a cache permaneça no local durante todo o ano e a visita à ilha possa ser feita em qualquer altura, recomenda-se a sua captura durante as épocas menos chuvosas. A cache deverá ser extraída e aberta com precaução para que não caia nenhuma das suas peças, sob pena de se perderem, dada a natureza inóspita do local. Deverá ser fechada com igual cuidado para não deixar entrar água e colocada exactamente no mesmo local onde foi encontrada.

The Ilha de Vilar is an area bordering the river Cávado, located in the parish of Figueiredo that incorporates the municipality of Amares. It is a pleasant leisure space that allows for fresh baths, restful sleep, picnics and sporting activities.
This space is private property, belonging to the Sociedade Agropecuária do Cunene, which, out of courtesy, allows the parish council of this location to transform it into a leisure area.

The cache intends to make known a green space that deserves every effort for its preservation. Therefore, it is requested that the site be kept clean and with minimal human intervention. Access to the cache may be restricted due to rising river waters. Therefore, although the cache remains in place throughout the year and the visit to the island can be made at any time, it is recommended to capture it during the less rainy seasons. The cache must be extracted and opened with care so that none of its pieces fall, under penalty of being lost, given the inhospitable nature of the place. It must be closed with equal care so as not to let in water and placed exactly in the same place it was found.
