Geocache Description:

The sculpture is near a Lewis and Clark Information Center

The cache site is near the convergence of the Snake and Clearwater rivers along a dike trail. To log this cache, e-mail a picture of you and any fellow cachers in front of the sculture and/or provide information about the sculture, its artist, the unusual feature about the sculture and/or information about its construction.

1/13/04 update: The City of Lewiston is acting as the agent for the Lewiston Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Committee on this project. The original artist, has been retained to provide a bronze cast of the Tsceminicum sculpture. Yesterday, Valley Bronze of Joseph Oregon began preparation work for the molding process; this will take approximately ten days. Then the necessary touch-up work, casting etc will all take place at their foundry in Joseph. We expect to have a completed piece installed in May 04. Funding for this project is coming from grants from the Idaho Governor's Trail Committee and the Forest Service, plus additional funds from private donations.
