Il Balcone di Marta è un costone roccioso che si protende dalla Cima di Marta, situata sullo spartiacque tra le valli Argentina e Roja, verso la parte mediana di quest'ultima.
Tra il Balcone di Marta e la sottostante altura, denominata Castello di Marta, è stato scavato tra il 1938 e il 1940 il più vasto complesso fortificato in caverna del Vallo Alpino occidentale, costituito da tre opere sotterranee collegate fra loro.
Detto complesso è formato da una batteria di artiglieria, denominata Batteria del Barcone, ubicata sotto la cima del Balcone di Marta, e da due centri di resistenza di fanteria, denominati Centro 35 bis e Centro 35, ubicati rispettivamente nel costone roccioso tra il Balcone e il Castello di Marta e sotto al Castello stesso.
Il complesso fortificato si sviluppa orizzontalmente su una lunghezza di circa 550 m e su un dislivello complessivo di ben 135 m e 326 gradini. (corrispondente ad un palazzo di 45 piani! ).
Dopo la modifica del confine tra Italia e Francia sancita dal trattato di pace del 10 febbraio 1947 queste opere, assieme a tutte quelle dei dintorni, sono passate in territorio francese.

The Balcony of Marta is a rocky ridge that extends from the Cima di Marta, located on the watershed between the valleys Argentina and Roja, towards the middle part of the latter.
Between the Balcony of Marta and the hill below, called Castello di Marta, was excavated between 1938 and 1940 the largest fortified cave complex of the Western Alpine Wall, consisting of three interconnected underground works.This complex consists of an artillery battery, called Batteria del Barcone, located under the top of the Balcone di Marta, and two infantry resistance centers, called Centro 35 bis and Centro 35, located respectively in the rocky ridge between the Balcone and the Castello di Marta and below the Castello di Marta. The same.The fortified complex is spread horizontally over a length of about 550 m and a total height difference of 135 m (corresponding to a 45-storey building!).
After the change of the border between Italy and France sanctioned by the Treaty of Peace of 10 February 1947, these works, together with all the works in the surrounding area, passed into French territory.

Il Geocache si trova all'interno della struttura. Entrando dall'ingresso si prosegue per un corridoio in discesa e si giunge a una prima scalinata al cui termine si trova la Cache.
The Geocache is located within the structure. Go in, continue along a downhill corridor and you come to a first staircase at the end of which there is the cache.
Dal parcheggio all'ingresso del bunker sono circa 35 minuti di camminata con un dislivello di 150m.
