Geocache Description:


St Luke's consecrated in 1871 was designed by Henry Issac Stephens. It serves the area between Burton Road and Uttoxeter Road and was built as a memorial to Bishop Lonsdale who was Bishop of Lichfield between 1843 and 1867 on ground gifted by Frances Alice Moss. 
It is built on high ground and can be seen from all over Derby. The tower has a ring of 8 bells and is the heaviest peel in Derbyshire with the Tenor bell being the heaviest at 30kwt 3qtr 2lb and were consecrated in 1875

The cache is a micro which is hidden in the church grounds with kind permission of the vicar.
