Welcome to the 135th Hampshire Monthly Mid-Week Meet-the first in a very long time! The venue will be at the Trinity Tavern in Fareham and your host is Sprocket1978. I have reserved seating for 60 people, however, there is also a large number of tables outside that are all covered by a gazebo if people prefer to be outside at this time.
The staff are thrilled to be hosting us. We have arranged some unique raffle prizes to recognise the venue and the fact it's the first meet after such a rubbish time. The usual log book will be there, however, the pub is due a refurbishment in Sept and a wall is being removed, therefore a large square is being designated as an additional log book for all attendees to sign if they wish, of which we will take a photo for prosperity.
The pub has a full menu, available on their Facebook page. The pub asks that as many of you as possible likes their Facebook page and after the event please review. I cannot stress the effort these guys are putting in to make this a great event (there was even talk of a caching logo stamp being branded onto the burger buns!?)
They would appreciate numbers and/or preorders if possible but happy to take orders on the evening too.
Parking- The Trinity Street Car Park is practically opposite the pub (co ords given), this is huge and there will be no shortage of spaces and this is FREE after 6pm.
However, alternative parking has also been listed which is at Fareham Train Station- this is not free. The station, for non-drivers, is a 10 min walk away. The bus station is also only 10 mins away in the centre of the town.
The traditional wooden chest should be available for the dropping off, swapping and discovering of Geocoins and Travel Bugs. There will be the usual raffle with numerous prizes on offer and caching related items, so bring plenty of change to get plenty of tickets!
I will be bringing the, as yet unplayed, packs of Geocaching Top Trumps!
We are a friendly bunch so if you havent been to an event before please pop along.
Having spoken to the ladies that run this pub, it really looks to be a great night so I hope as many of you can make it.
Official start time is 6.30pm but I will be there from 6 if there are early starters.
