Geocache Description:

30 October 2021, 14:00 - 16:00

What is Snagthetag?

Snag the Tag is a game within Geocaching (since 2017) run by two geocachers and involves: trackables and geocoins. The game is simple, get there first, find the tag and claim it for a cool trackable geocoin prize. It combines the thrill of the hunt, a fun location and a cool trackable prize! Snag the Tag has run their own themed house games and partnered with GCHQ, mega events, web shops and geocaching organizations to run their games. For more information visit the FAQ on www.snagthetag.com

Saturday October 30 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm.

DuBois City Park, Pavilion A

Unfortunatly the bathrooms in the park will be closed for winter and not available during this event.  If you have to use the restroom during the event there is a Sheetz 500 yards from the pavilion.   Sorry for this inconvenience.

The event is open to anyone to attend. Kids and Travel bugs are welcome. You do not need to partipate in the Bump in the Night to come an socialize. Feel free to come and meet some of your local geocachers and ask questions or exchange stories.  There will be a few prize give aways for those that attend the event.

Feel free to come and grab some local geocaches / Adventure Labs before or after the event.

Come to the event in your most creative costume for a chance to win a prize.

Dressing in costume is not required to attend this event.  Only those that are dressed in costume are eligible to win one of the costume prizes.

Bump in the Night details:

There will be 18 bat tags hidden around the area. They will publish on the snag the tag website randomly between October 24 and October 30, the morning of the event.  Find a tag, claim it on the Snag the Tag website and bring it to the event to redeem it for a trackable mirror geocoin! The game starts October 24th.  Good Luck on your search!

To ensure fairness, only 1 Finder tag/coin may be claimed by any single person, cache team, family or household.  Finders must have a Geocaching account and a Snag the Tag account for redemption.

No purchase is necessary.

Check the map on the Snag the Tag Website.

There is a special "Event" Version of this coin that will be available for purchase at the event while supplies last.  There are only 18 of this version, and will be up for presale.  If you want one of these please message either PapaBear82 or green nikki and we can reserve a coin with your name on it to be picked up at the event.  All coins must be picked up at the event unless other arrangements have been made with the hosts.  The price of these tags are $20.

To be in the SNAG the TAG Hunt you MUST do the Following Before October 24th

1.) Go to www.snagthetag.com and open a free account.

2.) After your account is opened click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the page then checkmark the box that says, New Game Announcement E-mails. This will alert you via email when one of the TAGs has been published.

After you’re all signed up, watch for the TAGs to be randomly published between October 24th and October 30th then try to SNAG that TAG.
