Geocache Description:

18 September 2021, 10:00 - 10:30

Please come out to Central Park in Davis for a bubble party flash mob!  This year, it will be the Aloha version, meaning that the wearing of Aloha (Hawaiian) shirts or tropical-patterned clothes, leis, big floppy beach hats, etc. is HIGHLY encouraged.  Why?  September 18 is the wedding anniversary for HockeyHiker19 and Papa EGTH and since we were married on a Friday, which was the traditional day for my colleagues to wear Aloha shirts at work if we chose to, we wore Aloha shirts for our civil ceremony!  Most of our wedding guests also wore Aloha shirts and one guest even brought some leis for everyone to wear (thanks two bison!).

I will bring some bubble-blowing supplies, I encourage attendees to bring your own if you have them.  I hosted a WWFM Bubble Party in this park a few years back and it had been a real hit with geocachers and Muggles alike.  I will make a large sign for everyone to sign as the log and we'll take a group photo to share with the World Wide Flash Mob community.

Please budget some extra time to locate parking in downtown Davis as this event will be happening at the same time and in close proximity to the very popular farmers market.

COVID-19 Statement:  We are still in a global pandemic crisis.  Though the governor of California removed nearly all the "lockdown" restrictions on June 15, 2021, there is the possibility that restrictions may be reimposed in the future.  I will monitor the COVID-19 situation in Yolo County and will update this cache page if the situation changes for the worse.  I encourage, but won't require, the wearing of masks and physical distancing during the event.  Have fun and stay safe!
