This is a themed cache. Bring a Florida Lottery scratch off ticket (unscratched, of course) and trade it with another. There's also a travel bug in there.
A great primitive hike through a not-so-so traveled 600 acre wilderness area near Wortham Park in the Riverview area.
You'll need to find Rhodine Rd. and the entrance is a gate only passable by those on foot. It can be found just east of the Wortham Park entrance. Rhodine Road Wilderness Area.
The hike is several miles long and will take about 3 hours to complete the loop. Bikes are not allowed. Horses and feet are. Your trip will take you through long and short grass areas, sandy and hard packed areas, open and forested areas, and some slight grade changes, especially near the lake.
When you get to the lake, your GPS should say a few feet away.
Watch for animals of all sorts. We saw lots of different tracks: deer, racoon, opossum, and others. We startled a horse with a rider after we hid the cache near a housing community seperated from the park by a fence. We only met one other couple who were pushing their son in a jogging stroller, as were we!
