Blair Mill Park Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

BOTOCH: I appreciate everyone who found this geocache and especially those that logged DNFs. I checked on this today and it was indeed gone. Unfortunately this is about. 4th time this one has been muggled and I am pretty tired of constantly replacing this one so I am going to disable it. Best of luck with other caches and I have two more you can find! Thank you again!

Geocache Description:

This is a great little spot for a picnic lunch, watching people play disc golf or even giving disc golf a shot yourself.  This is considered a beginners course (not sure why since I am not a disc golfer).  But the park has restrooms close by, and a sidewalk to walk down towards the more wooded nature part of the course, and picnic tables to enjoy.  This is a fairly easy park and grab and is a micro - I thought this might be a good place for the dreaded nano-cache but thought it wasn't a high enough muggle area to put cachers through rewinding that tiny little log, the magnetic holder (hint hint) is a little easier to deal with.

The history of disc golf is a little fuzzy, but the first patent for the disc golf hole was done in 1975 but it is been said the people playing the sport go back to the 1960s shortly after the invention of the frisbee itself.  The Disc Golf Association or DGA was founded in 1976 one year after the first disc golf course was built in Pasedena, CA.

Congratulations to WonderWomanandCrew for being FTF!

Enjoy!
