This is my first attempt at a whereigo cache.
While I was bored at home during lockdown I took some time to work out how whereigos work and learn how to create them. It's probably not perfect but will hopefully give you some fun. You will need about 2 hours to complete the route which is a circular walk of about 3 miles (5km).
The cartridge guides you along an abstract and somewhat chaotic tour of the small town of Lydd and gives you a bit of a glimpse of what life was like in the weird year that was 2020. You will meet some of the residents along the way (although none of them are based on actual people) and visit some of the various landmarks around the town. Please don't expect to learn too much along the way... your adventure is likely to take a number of unexpected turns!
The route is primarily along roadside pavements, although there are some grassy areas to cross and the odd quiet road to walk along. There is no elevation in the route (Lydd is very flat!) You will need to cross multiple roads along your journey so please take the appropriate cautions. At no point will you need to access any restricted areas or private gardens.

Be sure you have the most recent cartridge downloaded before you go out. This was updated on 26 April 2021. I would recommend that you save your game at regular intervals - as I say this is my first attempt! I've tested the cartridge a number of times, using both the iphone app and a Garmin Oregon GPS. Please let me know how it goes with other devices.
I've borrowed the next bit from Mankybadgers Whereigo descriptions as he seems to know what he's doing and always makes a point of saying the following...
"Before you start be sure the GPS is switched on in the software you are using for the Wherigo. Just because it is switched on in your GPS unit or on your phone doesn't always mean it is switched on in the software"
