A drive-up virtual cache at Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile (parking fee required)
Battleship Memorial Park is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. October-March, 6 p.m. rest of year; closed Christmas. Website is http://www.ussalabama.com/
Note (10/2022): Cachers report that the parking fee is $5
Note: There is a fee to tour the Battleship, submarine, and indoor displays, but the tour is not needed to "grab" this cache. (The tour was worth it--we spent all day here.)
The coordinates will take you to a very big bird nesting at the park ('Nidus' is Latin for nest.) To claim credit for the find and keep your log from being deleted, you must e-mail me the following info: 1. The model of the 'bird' 2. The nickname of this particular 'bird' 3. The number painted on the tail of the 'bird'. Please do not post this info in your log.
