10 am to 3:30 pm

Join us for the Maryland Geocaching Society’s annual Summer Picnic at the Ballenger Creek! Everyone who has an interest in geocaching is invited to come and join in the fun. You need not be a member of the MGS to attend. Whether you have 10 or 10,000 finds, this event is for you! New to the game? New to the area? Visiting from out of town? Please drop in and introduce yourself – we’d love to meet you!

The auction that we have at the Summer Picnic funds all of our events and Cache Across Maryland for the following year. We would appreciate any donations and bidding.

Our schedule for the day:

10.00 am: Setup

10.30 am: Eating and socializing

11.45 pm: Group Photo

12.00 pm: Auction

1.30 pm: Caching, socializing and clean-up

Please bring your favorite potluck dish to share. Post a ‘Will Attend’ log if you are planning to come, and go to the forums at dish you plan to bring. A list of needed items can be found here. The event will be held rain or shine. We hope to see you there!
