No Inverno nem sempre é fácil à passarada encontrarem sementes.
Na zona de Sintra temos uma grande variedade de pássaros de pequeno e médio porte.
Entre eles há uns quantos que eu gosto mais e que aparecem ao longo do ano:
O Pisco
Aparece todo o ano, é o pássaro mais "atrevido" o que mais se aproxima de nós. De peito laranja, é dos que mais gosto!
O Chapim Azul
Este mascarado e colorido pássaro só costuma aparecer no fim do Inverno. Tento fazer com que se sintam bem cá por casa, visto que é o único pássaro, em Portugal, que come a lagarta do pinheiro. Convém ter amigos destes!
Já cá fizeram ninho, há cerca de 3 anos e ainda continuam a ser vistos por aqui.
A Poupa
Outra visita habitual durante a Primavera-Verão!
De penas acastanhadas, asas pretas e brancas, bico longo, porte médio e uma poupa que a caraqueteriza.
Costuma andar acompanhada de pássaros mais pequenos que lhe roubam os bichinhos que consegue apanhar mais fundo, na terra, devido ao seu longo bico.
O Cuco
Este cantor aparece no fim de Fevereiro ou início de março e encanta-nos com o seu cantar!
Muito difícil de ver, é mais fácil de ouvir!
O Pica-pau
Vem ainda quando está frio e deixo de o ouvir por volta de Março/Abril, deve ir para a serra que nessa altura já está com temperatura mais amena.
O Gaio
Passaroco barulhento e ladrão mas que encanta com as suas cores e olhar esperto!
O Melro
São aos montes!
Todos pretos com o bico amarelo, eles e pretos acastanhados as fêmeas e os juniores.
Fazem algazarra logo pela manhã e ao fim do dia e são dos maiores ladrões de fruta cá do sítio...
Por aqui passam muitos mais: verdilhões, pardais, gralhas, águias, falcões e outros que não sei o nome. Pela manhã é uma animação a irem aos comedouros, é aí que os observo melhor.
Se tiverem possibilidade, façam um comedouro para alimentar a passarada no Inverno e vos garanto que de manhã não precisam de outro tipo de distracção, a não ser observá-los!
**Agradeço que não movam as caches do sítio, é-me muito difícil fazer a manutenção quando tenho de andar à procura das minhas caches... Prejudica a manutenção e dificulta tê-las sempre em boas condições.**

The Blue Tit
This masked and colorful bird does not appear until the end of winter. I try to make them feel good at home, since it is the only bird in Portugal that eats the pine caterpillar. It is good to have friends like these!
They made a nest here, about 3 years ago and are still seen here.
Poupa
Another usual visit during Spring-Summer!
With brownish feathers, black and white wings, long beak, medium size and a hoop that characterizes it.
He usually walks with smaller birds that steal the bugs that he can get deeper into the earth, due to his long beak.
The Cuckoo
This singer appears in late February or early March and enchants us with his singing!
Very difficult to see, it is easier to hear!
The Woodpecker
It comes even when it is cold and I stop hearing it around March / April, you should go to the mountains, which at that time have a milder temperature.
The Jay
Noisy and thieving birdie that enchants with its colors and smart look!
The Blackbird
They're in droves!
All black with yellow beak, they and brownish black females and juniors.
They make a noise in the morning and at the end of the day and are one of the biggest fruit thieves here on the farm ...
Many more pass through here: greenfinches, sparrows, rooks, eagles, falcons and others that I don't know the name of. In the morning it is an animation to go to the feeders, that's where I observe them best.
If you have the chance, make a feeder to feed the catwalk in the winter and I guarantee you that in the morning you don't need any other type of distraction, except watching them!
