Geocache Description:

Duck Hunt was a 1984 light gun shooter video game developed and published by Nintendo for the NES video game console.

The object was to shoot moving targets on the television screen in mid-flight. The game was played from a first-person perspective and required the NES Zapper light gun, which the player aimed and fired at the screen.

The memorable character in Duck Hunt was a nameless hunting dog, known simply as "Dog", who would go on to make cameo appearances in many video games and movies. Dog accompanied the player to both provoke the ducks and retrieve any fallen ones. The dog is infamous and iconic for laughing at the player whenever the player missed all of the ducks. The dog has been labelled as "one of the most annoying video game characters ever" by numerous gaming critics and journalists.

"Dog"

In Dog's honor, a mystery cache has been placed in the City of Boston, one of the most dog-friendly cities anywhere. In fact, Boston even has its own breed, the Boston Terrier, and RetiredGuy has two: Monty (GSYAN1) and Cabot (GS8525).

To find the cache, you will first have to find five famous dogs around Boston: Lotta, Piper, Catie, Rhett, & Hooper's Judge. They are all part of the Adventure Lab entitled Boston's Gone to the Dogs. As you find each, you will obtain five different numbers. Add them all together, go to the posted coordinates, and open the cache.

The cache has been placed here with permission from the property owner. If you happen to be a dog lover, go ahead inside and say hello.
