位於前台灣總督兒玉源太郎別院"南菜園"附近，為前南菜園日人宿舍區的一部分，住宅多以南北向規劃，前後配置有庭院，以植栽營造優美的環境，保有日治時期公務員宿舍群之特色。本宿舍群含有歷史建築與直轄市定古蹟共四處。
宿舍內都還有住人，欣賞宿舍群和找寶的時候，可別打擾到居民囉。
The dorms area is located near the house "South Vegetable Garden" for previous governor of Taiwan-Gentarou Kodama in Japan colonized period. It was part of the Japanese dorms. The houses were mainly designed toward south and north directions with yards. The beautiful greenery environment preserves the features of dorms for Japanese civil servants. The dorms area contains totally four historical buildings and municipal historic sites.
There are still residents inside the dorms. While admiring the dorms and geocaching, please be careful not to bother the residents.
