The Lost Trail.
During the holidays of Niquetjes on Faial, one of the activities of Niquetjes and Zoeklopers is always discovering new trails and laying geocaches. A beautiful and adventurous activity.
In December 2020, we did our best and put several locations on the map to be discovered by fellow geocachers.
First the trail along the coast of Lajinha (The Coast of Lajinha, GC93TFV), then a trail from Norte Pequeno to Fajã (Mistério, GC942BQ). The end of 2020 is a trail along the coast, of which we had heard that there was a trail. So we went looking and yes, found it. As the crow flies, the path is 2.5 km, but walking you will reach about 5 km. For us it was a walk with Photo- and Enjoy-Moments. The trail runs along the coast with coves. Part of the coast has collapsed, which now requires a steep climb. Further you walk through woodland with the occasional beautiful view of the ocean and the undulating landscape.
We would like to share this experience with other geocachers. Hence this cache trail: “The Lost Trail”.

The way back can be via the path along which you came or via the road (see the waypoints) or possibly with a second car at the end point.

O Trilho Perdido
Durante as férias dos Niquetjes no Faial, uma das actividades da Niquetjes e Zoeklopers é descobrir novos trilhos e colocar geocaches. Uma atividade linda e aventureira.
Em mês Dezembro de 2020, fizemos o nosso melhor e colocamos vários locais no mapa para serem descobertos por outros geocachers.
Primeiro o trilho ao longo da costa da Lajinha (Costa da Lajinha, GC93TFV), depois um trilho do Norte Pequeno à Fajã (Mistério, GC942BQ). O final de 2020 é um trilho ao longo da costa, da qual tínhamos ouvido falar que havia um caminho. Então fomos procurar e sim, encontramos. Em linha reta, o caminho tem 2,5 km, mas caminhando você chegará a cerca de 5 km. Para nós foi um passeio com Momentos de Fotografia e Desfrute. O trilho segue ao longo da costa com baías. Parte da costa desmoronou, o que agora requer uma subida íngreme e mais adiante você anda pela floresta com a bela vista ocasional do oceano e da paisagem ondulante.
