Geocache Description:

NOTE: The cache IS NOT located at the posted coordinates, but they will take you to a good spot to park and to begin your search.

I know that some people are afraid of puzzle caches. I sometimes try to help cure that by creating some REALLY EASY puzzle caches, and this is one of them.

The "The Blues Brothers" movie has always been one of my favorite comedy films. John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd were of course hilarious in the lead roles. Supporting characters played by Carrie Fisher, Henry Gibson, and John Candy were memorable as well. But as a music fan, I really appreciated The Blues Brothers band, made up of legitimate musical R&B (rhythm and blues ) all-stars, including Steve Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Tom "Bones" Malone, "Blue Lou" Marini, and Matt "Guitar" Murphy. And then of course there were the band's musical numbers, many of which featured R&B, soul, and blues legends including James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Chaka Khan, and John Lee Hooker.

A lesser know sequel, "Blues Brothers 2000", came out in 1998. Sadly, John Belushi had died in the interim, so John Goodman played the role of Dan Aykroyd's musical sidekick in this movie. In general, the sequel is remembered as a flop, with a weak plot and lame humor. However, what the movie can boast is an even more amazing musical line-up than the original. This included guests Erykah Badu, Blues Traveler, Lonnie Brooks, Eddie Floyd, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Jonny Lang, Sam Moore (of Sam and Dave), Wilson Pickett, and Junior Wells. And then there was the over-the-top blues supergroup created for the film called the Louisiana Gator Boys, who faced The Blues Brothers band in a battle of the bands. Among others, the Gator Boys included B.B. King, Bo Diddley, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Gary U.S. Bonds, Isaac Hayes, Dr. John, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Clarence Clemons, Charlie Musselwhite, Billy Preston, Lou Rawls, Paul Shaffer, Koko Taylor, Travis Tritt, and Austin's own Jimmie Vaughan.

Since I enjoyed these films and their music so much, I thought it would be fun to create a simple puzzle around these movies. All that you need to do is to connect the guest singer with the song that they performed in one of the two Blues Brothers movies. Once you have matched up the songs, you just need to find the key word(s) hidden in the puzzle, which you should then enter into the certitude checker below.

After you enter the correct keyword, the final coordinates to the cache will be given to you by the checker. There is a short hike to the cache. You should not have too much trouble locating the container, but a tree climb is required to access the cache, which accounts for the high terrain rating.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
