Congratulations!     Your hard work touring the Fort has gained you this reward!    Each of the locations in the Adventure Lab will give you part of the coordinates to make the find on this cache.

As you may have noticed during the tour, there is old and current signs of the military use to be found everywhere.   Even where you least expect it, like at the location of the final.   It is reported that in WWI the base was 9,139 acres and at it's largest during WWII it was 16,005 acres.   The current base, who's training facilities are used by the Michigan National Guard and other branches of the armed forces, primarily from Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana. Many Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) students from colleges in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana also train at this facility, as well as do the FBI, the Michigan State Police, various law enforcement agencies, and the Lansing Community College Truck Driver Training School, is about 206 acres.   Land was split off for the VA Medical Center, the National Cemetery, the State Recreation Area and the rest as industrial lots.

I find it very interesting that the area where the final is was once considered by Cedar Faire, the parent company of Cedar Point, for an amusement park.   Really.   In 1976 they were in negotiations to purchase 390 acres in this area to build a new park, but backed out in the end for unknown reasons.   Life around here might have been very different!
