Join us for a CITO on a newly acquired property being managed by Alachua Conservation Trust on November 21st from 9:00 to 11:00 AM (and maybe longer depending on how the day is going). Our local geocaching community has worked with Alachua Conservation Trust a number of times over the years and they have been gracious to allow geocaches to be placed on their properties.
The posted coordinates will bring you to the main gate of the property and I will meet people there up until 9:00. The location of the clean up will be a short drive from this meeting point and will be marked by signs from ACT. If you arrive after 9:00, you will be able to follow the signs to meet up with the group. The exact tasks we'll be helping with will depend on how much gets accomplished at the site between the posting of this event and the date of the CITO. It may include trash clean up, invasive removal or other general tasks needed to help with conservation of the property.
Please plan on COVID related precautions and be respectful of other's levels of comfort. If you plan to work near others and especially those you may not know well, please have a mask with. Being outdoors and with opportunities to be physically distant from one another, there should be a low risk of exposure. If you have symptoms of COVID the day of the event, we ask that you not attend.
