We are happy to be at F.D. Roosevelt State Park for our first campout in 2021!
Did you get geo-trackables for Christmas for just being nice? Or are you ready to rid & barter away your collection? Then this event is ideal for you. Bring those geo-trackables to FDR State Park where the biggest geo-trackable enthusiasts from around the world will gather for the annual
COINAPALOOSA IV event. This event will take 'Camping' to the next level! And you might even happen up on some bartering taking place at several unofficial bartering locations. The underground networking of the geo-trackable collectors are hard to track!
Our camping event will offer a choice of activities due to the expected large crowd - so everyone will enjoy their evening. Due to the overwhelming amount of past and present geo-trackables, this doesn't need to be said, but you'll see some of the MOST COVETED geocoins during your visit during the day. But at night, at our event, who knows what geo-trackables your lantern will illuminate.
Some camping geocachers will be arriving on the 12th to take full advantage of geocaching in Georgia's largest state park. The only state park in the USA with equestrian only geocaches.
F.D. Roosevelt is
a beautiful and presidential themed state park, with lots of must visit POI's.
CAMPERS
We will have our very own loop in the campground (area #4) reserved for us. (tents and hammocks only) We have all the amenities of regular campsites (water, electricity) and a comfort station in our reserved loop.
**NOTICE FOR CAMPERS**
Please do
NOT make reservations with FDR State Park. You WILL need to reserve a camping spot with your "will attend" log. Simply stating,
"reserving 1 camp" will get you a spot. The camping fee is $30 per couple/family for the weekend (Friday and Saturday nights).
OTHER ACCOMMODATIONS
Prefer a mountain top view cottage, or a cabin on the lake having accommodations unlike any hotel? Are you pulling a camper or driving an RV? Awesome, you just need to make site reservations yourself through the
