Thorney War Memorial is a Grade II listed structure, achieving the status on 30 May 2019. The memorial was built and dedicated in 1920 to the 8 men of the parish who never returned from WWI. Unusually for a war memorial, Thorney built the church gates as a permenant dedication to the fallen. Each gate pier contains 4 names.
