On March 24, 2001, some local geocachers got together at Scholz Garten. This gathering would be memorialized as GC389, the Austin Geocachers Happy Hour, the first EVER geocaching event, predating even the cache type itself.
On March 27, 2021, to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the First Event, you are all cordially invited to an early evening of socially distanced camraderie, conversation, and stories about geocaching! For our collective entertainment, we will have an assortment of geocachers to tell us about their adventures!
