It was almost exactly 10 years ago that teamajk started caching, and this occasion, like all such anniversaries, has led "J" to look back over the years, reminisce about fun times and good friends, and wonder at the swift passage of time. This cache is the fifth in what we hope will be an informal series of caches throughout the rest of 2020, with puzzles which may bring to mind some of our previous work while incorporating some new twists. Be sure to save the bonus information from the geochecker for the series finale.
You know we love challenging puzzles (fair warning: #6 in the series is going to be a doozy), but we also appreciate fun and easy ones too, so this seemed like a good point in the series for one of those.
We are a family of gamers and games have played a very prominent role in teamajk's puzzling history, both those we've created and ones we've enjoyed solving. I am not a sophisticated programmer but have met some through geocaching (two of them helped me to create our Game of Stones puzzle). I may end up calling on another of those helpers before this series is through, but this puzzle is my attempt at creating something without any help, using freely available online resources. You'll be playing a familiar game with a twist which should become apparent. Upon making successful matches, you will be rewarded with information that will lead you to the cache (be sure your browser allows popups). At the end of the game you can just click cards to review the information that was revealed during play. The game has been tested in the Chrome browser on both a PC and an android phone.
