Please join us for a lighted boat parade to kick off GUIE weekend. Be ready to launch your boat by 6:30 and the parade should be wrapped up by 7:30 or 7:45. The event takes place at the public boat launch off Route 27. 2020 has been quite the year, so the theme is 911. Dress in your favorite emergency responder character and decorate your boat to match.
The Flagstaff Floatilla VII - 911 will begin at the boat launch on Route 27 and proceed under the under the bridge and into Flagstaff Lake. Decorate your boat, canoe or kayak or other vessel of your choice with lights of your choice. There will be plenty of room to properly distance once in the lake. The length of the trip will depend on the weather and lake conditions but it will be held rain or shine.
Come join the fun and either watch from the landing or be a participant. Appropriate safety gear and PFDs are required. Prizes will be handed out for the best decorated vessels for creativity and originality. Looking forward to all joining in on the fun.
