Geocache Description:

This cache is the first of a series of thirty-seven caches hidden "Out In The Sticks" in the countryside mid-way between Doddington and Badlesmere. All caches have been placed either on the side of quiet lanes, or on paths (none more than a few steps off of the paths). Please follow the paths and lanes from cache to cache and do not go marching through the fields making your own routes

There are three designated parking points (you can start the route at any point) but there is roadside parking at various places along the route – wherever you park, PLEASE PARK SENSIBLY

Bearing in mind the logistics of the “Build a Badger” Wherigo and the multi, you would be best advised to walk the route in number order

You can’t really mistake where the paths go – given a half-way decent map, following the arrow on the app will get you to the right place

ONLY CACHES #4 and #34 ARE AT THE POSTED CO-ORDINATES. THE OTHERS ARE NOT. DO NOT GO THOSE POINTS ON THE MAP

Each cache (except the Wherigos and #34) is found by solving a simple puzzle

Each cache description (except the Wherigos) tells you that puzzle

Sorry if you don’t like puzzles or wherigos

The Wherigos

(if you are going to do them...)

You can start to play Build a Badger at any point up to and including cache 9. The game itself is played between caches 9 and 10. You will then walk past a few of the route's caches on the way to the final which is a short diversion after cache #13

The Easiest Wherigo is my first attempt at a "play anywhere" wherigo which you can play at any time and pick up the final on a short diversion after cache #29 .

And so for this cache…

The first letterbox hybrid cache in this series is numbered AB

The first unknown cache in this series is numbered AC

The first traditional cache in this series is numbered DE

This cache is at

North 51 (B)(C+D) . (C*E) (C*E) A

East 000 E (E+E+B) . A E (E*C)

A word about co-ordinates

(if I may...)

We've measured the co-ords of each cache several times on three seperate occasions using two different devices.

If you feel the co-ordinates of any of the caches are a tad awry please have a look at the previous logs.

If others say the co-ords are out, please send us your co-ords so we can update.

If others say the co-ords are good then just maybe your GPS might need a tweak?

And... sorry to point out the obvious, but we've had issues before

This is a series of geocaches, not painted rocks.

Please put them back where you found them and how you found them

Remember - if you don't sign the log sheet you can't log a find on-line.
