The cache is not at the posted coordinates! However, the coordinates are near the overlook where you can enjoy an expansive view of the Potomac River. The difficulty and terrain ratings reflect the task of completing the Adventure Lab.
Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional Park offers surprising history. The ruins date back to 1869. A wealthy gentleman farmer built the farm that now remains as historical ruins. The trees and the river are far older. The park also offers geocaching history, featuring two classic hides from September 2001.
The adventure lab caches will take you on a tour of the park with some up and down mostly along the white trail that winds around the park. You might find it helpful to print a trail map to take along. Cachly offline trail maps are fairly complete. Others may be less complete. The waypoints of the adventure lab are waypoints in this cache in case it helps you navigate the park.
You can learn the coordinates for this mystery cache by completing the Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Adventure Lab cache. You will need a smartphone with data service and the Adventure Lab app installed. You can install the app by going to https://labs.geocaching.com. You can launch the adventure by opening the Adventure Lap app and browsing to "Red Rock Wilderness Overlook."
Once you've completed the adventure, you should have the information that you need. If you need to retrieve codes later, you can reopen the adventure in the app and view the journal entries for the locations.

This cache has received written approval from the NOVA Parks. NOVA Parks are open daily, dawn to dusk, please do NOT hunt this cache at night or any other time the parks are closed. Do not disturb the private residence located near parking. Where there is red rock, there is red clay. These trails can be slick and sometimes overgrown. There are a few steep sections.
