GeOlympics
The summer olympics were held in Japan during July 2021 and the winter olympics will be held in China during February 2022. This event is to give geocachers a chance to get in on some of the competition.
GeOlypmics Details:
Whoever scores the most points wins. Below is a list of how to score points. All finds for this challenge must happen between September 25-October 8. There are some items that will count in multiple categories; you get all the points possible for each item completed. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. If you plan to compete, please bring your completed scorecard to the event. Scorecard must be turned in by 3pm.

FAQ
Do I have to compete in the GeOlypmics to attend?
No. Anyone is welcome to attend whether they are competing or not.
Do I get anything for attending?
If you have not already attended a Community Celebration Event you will get a new icon if you log your find and a digital souvenir. If you already have logged a Community Celebration Event, you will only add to your count.
There are prizes for the top three scores in the GeOlympics
What safety precautions are in place?
We will be outside. You are welcome to wear a mask if you care to. No food or beverages will be offered (feel free to bring your own).
Will there be any new caches hidden for this event?
There are no plans to publish new caches in conjunction with this event.
Are kids welcome?
Absolutely. My kids will probably be in attendance for a while. Lawrence Park has a playground, basketball hoops, a tennis court, pickleball court, and baseball field.
