Where: Belfairs Woods, Leigh-on-Sea
When: Sunday 10th October 2021
Time: 2:00 to 4:00
Many moons ago, I was awarded a Community Celebration Event to celebrate Geocaching's 20th birthday but then Covid-19 got in the way! Now we are able to hold events again so I thought it would be nice to organise a low-key event for those who don't like going out on school nights. The plan is to meet on the grass near the Visitor's Centre in Belfairs Woods, unless it is raining - in which case we will meet inside the cafe. Feel free to bring picnic blankets or camping chairs. Dogs are allowed in the woods but not inside the cafe. They sell a variety of drinks, snacks and meals, all prepared on the premises. It should be easy to find us - I will have my lovely new caching flag and flagpole out
We all love to meet up and exchange caching stories, and maybe gain some tips about those elusive caches. As the owner of several puzzles in Belfairs Woods, I may be willing to provide some tips. There will, of course, also be the obligatory bucket for exchanging trackables.
The area has lots of caches of lots of types. I've no idea yet what the points will be for earning the October souvenir, but I'm sure the many caches here will help, if you haven't found them yet. There is a souvenir available for attending a Community Celebration Event too, if you haven't already earned it.
