Church Micro 5917...Kensington - Holy Trinity Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Please note that once the cache has been archived, this can not be undone. This is explained in the Help Center - http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70

You will need to create a new listing, put it back in for review and as long as it meets today's guidelines and no other caches have been published in the area causing a proximity problem, then it will be published.

Regards

Geocache Description:

A 2ml tube

Church of the Holy Trinity, Prince Consort Road

Church of the Holy Trinity. I Church. 1901 to 1907. G F Bodley. Bath stone. Pitched slate roof to parapet. Decorated Perpendicular style. Five bay nave, leanto aisles with additional four-bay aisle to liturgical north side; chancel with Lady Chapel to north; bell turret to western gable. Hall church interior with tall arcades having quatrefoil piers; barrel roof; no clerestory. East window of seven lights with reticulated tracery, and stained glass designed by Bodley and made by Burlison and Grylls in 1907. Fine interior fittings including altar, pulpit, chancel stalls, reredos, font, stained glass, etc, much designed by Bodley himself. "Without doubt one of Bodley's finest works"

Personal Note - I like to create CMs at churches with which I have a personal connection or memory. Being a choral singer, many of these may be to do with singing. I have performed a few times at Holy Trinity, as well as this being my local church. Furthermore, the designer George Bodley designed the building which housed my room (amongst others...!) at my university college !
