A cache encontra-se próxima a um cruzeiro datado de 1670. A alguns metros adiante encontra-se a capela de São João de Padronelo, de provável construção seiscentista, de planta longitudinal, flanqueada por torre sineira.

Nesta pequena capela fica em exposição, durante dois dias por ano, a imagem de Nossa Senhora da Alegria. Esta é uma imagem construída inteiramente em madeira, rara em todo o mundo, de Nossa Senhora que carrega o menino Jesus ao colo e a tocar viola para celebrar a alegria com o povo. Também é conhecida por Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres em outras localidades
Segundo os responsáveis pela guarida da imagem durante o resto do ano, quando não está exposta, esta será única em Portugal, porque se mantém a original desde 1582, ano de construção da capela, onde a imagem é exibida durante a noitada de São João.
Conhece-se outro exemplar, uma cópia, dizem, numa igreja situada na região sul do país, havendo também registo de imagem em França, na Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Alegria (Liésse).
Segundo a confraria responsável pelas festas de São João, em Casais de Vide (Aboim da Nóbrega), em outros tempos a imagem dava a volta às romarias do Minho, dada a sua particularidade de invocar as festas e a alegria com a representação de Nossa Senhora a tocar um instrumento de cordas. No entanto, sua frágil composição levou a que essa tradição fosse interrompida.
Em 2018, esta imagem foi um dos atrativos da procissão em honra de São João, na cidade de Braga, depois do próprio Arcebispo Jorge Ortiga ter feito o pedido aos moradores de Casais de Vide, que guardam a imagem 363 dias por ano em local secreto e desconhecido.

In this small chapel the image of Our Lady of Joy is on display for two days a year. This is an image made entirely of wood, rare all over the world, of Our Lady who carries the baby Jesus in her arms and playing the viola to celebrate the joy with the people. It is also known for Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres in other locations.
According to those responsible for guarding the image during the rest of the year, when it is not exposed, it will be unique in Portugal, because the original has been maintained since 1582, the year the chapel was built, where the image is displayed during the night of São João.
Another exemplary is known, a copy, they say, in a church located in the south of the country, and there is also an image registration in France, in the Church of Nossa Senhora da Alegria (Liésse).
According to the broterhood responsible for the festivities of São João, in Casais de Vide (Aboim da Nóbrega), in other times the image went around the pilgrimages of Minho, given its particularity of invoking the festivities and the joy with the representation of Our Lady playing a string instrument. However, its fragile composition meant that this tradition was interrupted.
In 2018, this image was one of the attractions of the procession in honor of São João, in the city of Braga, after Archbishop Jorge Ortiga himself made the request to the residents of Casais de Vide, who keep the image 363 days a year in a secret place and unknown.
