Geocache Description:

08 October 2022, 13:00 - 15:00

October 8,2022

1:00pm- 3:00pm.  There is no shelter yet. We will meet in the parking lot.  I will provide cider and donuts.

I am hoping to initiate this park to geocaching. Permits are submitted. Not sure how long they take to approve.

This land was bequeathed to Livingston County in 2006 by Raymond Fillmore.

The park entrance is on McClements Road approximately 1 mile north of East Grand River Avenue, at the intersection of Kellogg and McClement Road in Genoa Township (SE Livingston County). The park is located midway between the cities of Howell and Brighton.

Acreage: 198 acres

Park Use:

The first phase of park development will be a 10-acre traditional county park with a 5k trail throughout the eastern portion of the park. Phase I development plans were designed for accessibility and technical assistance was obtained from the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living.

Amenities:

Intended amenities in the first phase of park development will include a multi-use athletic field, 5K natural surfaced trail, 1/2 mile accessible trail for hiking, benches for viewing sports activities, parking and restrooms.

Geocaches are allowed by permit.
