Geocache Description:

Here at the park office we have recently received six unusual reports, all of which have people who visit the park on the hunt for the ever-elusive Irish Fairy known to some as a Leprechaun!  From the six stories told to the park staff we might have to agree there may be something out in the park playing tricks on people.  We only ask that if you happen to see anything suspicious to please share your experience with the staff, so we can get to the bottom of this!   As you start on this adventure and retrace the steps of the individuals you will be free to decide if you believe a Leprechaun has taken up residence at Fort Stevenson State Park.

The fifth story came in just a few weeks ago by a Dillon McGuire who was trying out his new snowshoes along the Trooper Challenge trail.  He reported happening upon what he described as green tracks in the snow.  The size one would expect to be made by small rabbit.  Curious as to what made these tracks, Dillon stated he followed them until they simply disappeared.  When he stopped in the park office to explain his experience, we hurried to the site of the tracks.  Unfortunately, all signs of the green tracks were gone leaving us once again without any proof.  According to some research we have done, Leprechauns are quick, smart and have magical powers being able to vanish into thin air.  Could this just be another one of his tricks?

As in the previous stories Dillon also stated to see a rainbow on this day which ended near the coordinates.  N47 35.513 W 101 24.969
