Geocache Description:

Here at the park office we have recently received six unusual reports, all of which have people who visit the park on the hunt for the ever-elusive Irish Fairy known to some as a Leprechaun!  From the six stories told to the park staff we might have to agree there may be something out in the park playing tricks on people.  We only ask that if you happen to see anything suspicious to please share your experience with the staff, so we can get to the bottom of this!   As you start on this adventure and retrace the steps of the individuals you will be free to decide if you believe a Leprechaun has taken up residence at Fort Stevenson State Park.

The second Leprechaun report came from Bill and Theresa McGillicuddy who were cross country skiing on the de Trobriand Loop.  They stated they just started out on their day skiing when to their surprise they heard someone singing an unusual song.  They stated it went like this.

And fair thee well to Ireland

Land of my native home

Breaks my heart for to see friends part

It’s then the teardrops fall

On my way to America

Will I ever see home once more

I’m leaving behind the one I love

Paddy’s green shamrock shore

The song Paddy’s Green Shamrock Shore has a few different versions however one could derive from the song, this individual has a clear love of Ireland. Could there really be a Leprechaun living at Fort Stevenson State Park?

As in the previous report Bill and Theresa also saw a rainbow that appeared to end near the coordinates listed.  N 47.35.306 W 101 25.082
