Local geocachers will be aware that in January 2021, one half of the caching team Noseypenguins, April, sadly passed away.  Her life ended far too soon.  She still had so many adventures to go on with the other half of the team, her son Ethan.  With all the covid restrictions, we have been unable to come together as a geocaching community - until now. Â
Â
April loved Deeside.  She loved to cache there, to just be outdoors there and have picnics there.  She was also delighted to attend her first Mega event there.  This is why we have chosen to have a picnic on the lawn at Crathes Castle for anyone who knew April or indeed would like to come and meet other geocachers as April loved to do.  Hopefully the weather is kind! This event type is special. Â I (Julie) was awarded this back in 2020 as part of a celebration of 20 years of geocaching. Â Sadly all the celebration events were put on hold throughout the pandemic but I can't think of a better reason to use my event. Â Not just to celebrate geocaching but to celebrate the life of a well known and liked geocacher and friend to many. Â Pauline and I look forward to seeing you all. Â
