Join the San Gabriel Valley Geocachers in celebrating the return of spring, the return of baseball season, and the return of seeing one another again in the great outdoors. Our theme will be "Take Me Out to the Ballgame!", so you are invited to show up wearing your best Dodger Blue! Or if your favorite team happens not to be The Blue, feel free to celebrate your team too! We're a tolerant bunch of geocachers! :-) The main idea is to have fun!
The location of our celebration will be the outdoor picnic area at Farnsworth Park in Altadena, and the event is set to run from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. There is ample parking available both north and south of the picnic area. We're holding this event on the early side, to accomodate all the eager geocachers who would like to get out and get a quick start on a busy caching day, for what we hope will be a beautiful Southern California Saturday.
Although many of the participants will have been vaccinated at the time of the event, we respectfully ask particpants to observe appropriate COVID social distancing guidelines and be respectful of others' space and comfort. Although everyone is welcome to sign the event log, that will not be required if anyone wishes not to.
Notes regarding COVID-19 that we are including at the request of Geocaching.com: All attendees should wear a face covering and practice physical distancing, and stay home if feeling sick. Please check this page the day of the event to make sure it has not been retracted. We kindly ask that attendees not travel from areas of higher risk tiers to attend this event.
