Geocache Description:

Number 1443 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.

The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

Recommended Parking at the given location.

Whilst out researching for our nearby Village Hall Cache, we stumbled across this Fine Pair.

Oddly enough, the Duo do not appear on Google Earth, as the Post Box is a fairly recent addition to this part of the village. In these days of ever decreasing proper letters being sent, you have to wonder why this post box appeared...?

Probably because the old post box can be seen in the wall of the former 'Telegraph Office' down at the junction; it used to be a Cafe, but now appears to be a private residence. Like many of it's peers in rural locations, the telephone box is now home to the village AED.

Find the Post Box Number on the front plate.

It comprises 2 Letters and 5 numbers in the format **ABCDE.

The final location is a quite near at N 52° 53.(A+B)(DxD)(A+C) W 0° 57.(A+B+C+D+E)BD.

The Cache is a cammo tape covered sample tube.
