The War memorial in Stowmarket consists of a pair of wrought iron gates at the entrance to the town's recreation ground.
The gates are supported by two brick gate posts. Two rectangular plaques with the names of the town's dead during WW1 are placed on the gate posts and two rectangular plaques with the names of WW2 are on the gated.
The Memorial gates were fitted in 1920
