We decided to hold this event as we can never make the Saturday events because of work commitments ... and we missed seeing you! The event is being held at the Saltwater Beach Cafe. There has been a cafe on this site for as long as I can remember; providing ice creams and cold drinks in the summer and hot drinks and shelter in the winter. There will probably not be enough seating inside but being outdoor geocaching folk I hoped this wouldn't be a problem. There is plenty of food and drink on offer and also a breakfast and lunch menu if you need more sustenance for listening to all those geocaching tales.
There is nearby car parking on Chalkwell Esplanade: fees are £1 for up to an hour, and £2.10 for up to 2 hours. I think there is probably free parking up the top near Chalkwell Station. Chalkwell Station on the C2C Fenchurch Street line and is really close. And obviously it is in the middle of a really good walk from Old Leigh/Hadleigh along to Southend/Shoeburyness and a whole host of caches.
