Summer School at Sydenstricker

Come join us at the Sydenstricker Schoolhouse (8511 Hooes Rd, Springfield, VA 22153) on Saturday, August 7th from 10:00am - 12:00pm. We will gather outside in the shaded schoolyard for coffee and donuts (while supplies last) and geotalk. The schoolhouse itself will be open, for you to view its collection of vintage artifacts and historical displays. You can even ring the original school bell from the 1920s.

If you haven't already, this would also be a good time to complete the Adventure Lab on site, as well as the longer Wherigo. The Adventure Lab's Bonus Cache and the Wherigo's final container are both offsite -- a few minutes drive away in both cases.

There is also an easily-reached benchmark (HV8659) about 200 feet away, at the Park & Ride, near the fence it shares with the chapel. Just across the street is Cache to Eagle, NCAC Old Dominion: Loyal.
