Did you know that May 12th is Manitoba’s Birthday??!!
It is the official anniversary of the founding of Manitoba in 1870.
This may not be a holiday that Manitobans have the day off work or school, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t PARTY!!!!
This year marks Manitoba’s 150th birthday!
And what is a birthday without a birthday party? 😉
Where: Kildonan Park
When: Aug 30 2020, 5pm-7pm
Also make sure to bring chairs, we will have some games but feel free to bring anything else you may want to play.
There are many things that are amazing about Manitoba; the cities, the lakes, the parks, and you can find geocaches just about anywhere. My geopup Ash and I have travelled to the different areas in search of these caches.
Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue is where my geopup Ash was adopted from. (Well he adopted me 😉)
He was found in a refrigerator with 8 siblings in Norway House. He was part of the Fire litter, hence the name Ash. I can definitely say he makes geocaching way more fun 😊.
Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue (MMDR) was launched in Jan 2011 to take in all breeds from anywhere in Manitoba. They take in strays, abandoned and displaced animals, not only dogs but cats as well. They also have the Super Troopers. These are special cases where dogs need extra care and extra help who may be injured, abused, suffer from Heartworm, parvo or other life threatening diseases.
So in lieu of bringing me a birthday gift 😉, and to add to the Community Spirit of the event, Ash and I ask that anyone who can please bring a donation to Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue. Whether it be a cash donation, food, or other supplies.
