So here is the original end of the summer cookout that has been going for 17 years. There have been so many that had made this their first event, and have been back year after year. If you are shy or have never been then make this year your first. The Event runs from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. It will be held rain or shine and I will have shelters if needed. As you can see this is a Community Celebration Event which will get you a Special souvenir and Icon for attending. If you only make it to one this year, make it to this one.
So with the current COVID-19 restrictions, this event will have to be a bit different. You should plan on bringing your own food as pot lucks are not allowed or encouraged. Dogs are allowed on a leash. Bring along a newbie to show them what we are all about. There are lots of caches in the Bangor area to make a fun and full day of caching. I hope to have a few door prizes to give out as well as the expected refrigerator magnets.
The current state guidelines are as follows: The gathering must be limited to 100 people or less. Attendees must be residents of Maine or one of the other states now allowed by the Governor, have quarantined for 14 days, or have a negative COVID test within 72 hours of this event. A mask is required when social distancing is not maintained. Please sign up so I can keep up on the count!
